Putting a 454 into a little Chevy S-10 is taking the “big engine in a little car” proverb to the extreme 😅 Dude’s already running the equivalent of a high 12 in the quarter mile with a STOCK engine! The potential of this truck is huge.

I don’t think I would have built this car any different. I’m especially digging the Jaz racing buckets. I always loved seeing those in a car alongside a B&M Star Shifter, one of those Grant GT aftermarket steering wheels, and a couple of old school Stewart Warner gages with the 270 degree sweep. Doesn’t get any better than that! 👌👌

If you paid $1,800 in 2019 for this Nova then in the 2024 market it would probably go for upwards of $3,000 to $4,000. I HATE what the last 5-10 years has done to classic car values. People are crazy! They think any car that came with a carburetor is automatically worth a king’s ransom no matter what model it is or what condition it is in.

Wow, what a hard lesson. You must have spent a fortune on all those parts you didn't use. The end result is great though. I have a set of 72 Nova buckets and tracks and had no idea how special thew are although they are in very rough shape.
